The salon chair celebrates 10 years

Salon holds a very special place with us, and in 2026, the beautiful chair will celebrate its 10th anniversary. We are both happy and proud of this.

Proud of a design that still feels just as relevant as it did at its launch, and of the place that Salon has earned in the Ro Collection assortment over the years.

For ten years, the Salon chair has brought people together around the table. It has framed long dinners, good conversations, and the small moments of everyday life. Over the years, it has moved into an increasing number of private homes, restaurants, and hotels, where it has become a part of the spaces and moments that bring people together.

Salon is designed by Asger Soelberg and created by skilled cabinetmakers with a great passion for their craft. The chair unites classic joinery traditions with a contemporary and distinctive design language that feels just as relevant today as when it was introduced.

The elegant dining chair is characterized by its high backrest, armrests, and enveloping shape. The proportions are carefully balanced, ensuring the chair feels light in the room while providing comfortable support when you sit down. Salon is made to be sat in - even after the meal has ended and the conversation continues.

The chair is made of solid European oak. The natural material adds warmth and gives each chair its own lively expression. The characteristic, contrasting wooden loops highlight the construction and tell of the craftsmanship behind the design. It is a detail that not only decorates, but also emphasizes the chair's construction and special identity.

We are proud that, over the past ten years, Salon has moved into an increasing number of Danish homes, where we are delighted that it has become a part of everyday life, meals, and the moments that bring people together around the table.

It is our hope that the chair will not only find a place in the home now, but will continue to live on and follow families through generations.
