Located close to the shore of the Nivunkijärvi lake in Lapland, also called Sámpi, the Nivunki Village is a breathtaking destination experience where the Northern lights colour the skies, snow almost only yields in the Summer for the Midnight Sun, and the rich history and culture of the native Sámi people still flourishes.
Along with the original Nivunkijärvi farmhouse, the old barn and the sauna, the Pirtii main building stands far into the wilderness, surrounded by a few handfuls of kotas, or “Northern lights huts”, dotted across the snowy landscape.
Here, guests can enjoy an authentic experience of the aerial spectacle with no interfering light pollution.

The Pirtii restaurant similarly offers a true journey of Lappish cuisine in cosy surroundings. In the light from the large fireplace, guests are invited to get comfortable in Regatta Chairs with frames in oiled oak wood paired with seat and back upholstered in matching exclusive leather in a warm, cognac-colour. The Regatta Chair’s soulful oak beautifully compliments the rustic space while its soft curves and leather upholstery elevates it in a reflection of the magnificent experience that is the Nivunki Village.
